Ron Asheton, legendary guitarist for The Stooges, was found dead at midnight last night at his Ann Arbor home. He was 60 years old. Asheton’s personal assistant alerted police that he was unable to reach the Stooges founding member for days, leading to the discovery that he had apparently died several days prior to last night. No official cause of death has been released, but reports suggest a possible heart attack.
